Today is the 1 year anniversary of the bear market lows for Stocks hit back on March 9, 2009 at the height of one of the worst recessions since WWII. The Dow closed at 6,547.05 and yesterday it closed at 10,552.52.

The Bond markets are moving higher today after comments from China saying that they still like U.S. Treasuries. But trading could be capped by today's looming $40B 3-year note auction. The debt that the government is selling has become increasingly larger in the past year in an effort to fund the country's growing deficit.

A survey by Manpower, a world leader in the employment services industry, showed that a net 5% of employers said they expect to hire in the 2nd quarter, compared with -2% in the same period last year. Manpower said it does remain cautiously optimistic on the job markets.

Networking giant Cisco Systems said it will announce today will unveil news that will "forever change the Internet and its impact on consumers, businesses and governments." Rumor has it that Cisco has or is building a high speed broadband network that would be 100 times faster than what we have today.
